Whether you join us in person or online, we meet at 9:30 AM every Sunday.

We’re taking an unique hybrid approach to church. We’re slowly reopening in-person gathering, but we’re also trying to keep our “remote congregants” involved in the service. We have remote congregants reading scripture and leading prayers each week via zoom. Our desire is maintain the unity of our church even while some people are worshiping from home.

In-person Gathering Details

9:30 AM Sundays @ 404 Broadway

Thank you for wearing a mask for the time being

We meet in person at 404 Broadway, Somerville, MA at 9:30 AM.

As of May 29, all COVID-19 restrictions have been dropped in Massachusetts and in Somerville. With that in mind, we are loosening our restrictions:

  • Pre-registration is no longer required. However, if you are feeling ill or were recently exposed to the virus, we ask you to worship with us through our online gathering.

    • Please attend service virtually if you have any of the following symptoms: Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea.

    • Please be aware that Massachusetts has a mandatory 14-day quarantine or recent negative test if you have been to a higher risk state.

  • Thank you for wearing a mask for the time being. It should cover both your nose and mouth. Read more below on why… Our monthly outdoor gatherings do not require masks.

  • Expect the service to last about 60-75 minutes.

  • We will not require congregants to social distance inside the building. We are blessed with a large sanctuary, so you are welcome to social distance as much as you and those around you are comfortable with.

  • Join us afterward the gathering for an outdoor time with coffee & bagels! Masks are completely optional outdoors

  • We have CoaH Kids once-a-month at our outdoor gatherings. We hope to launch CoaH Kids back in the building by July or August. Until then, your children are welcome to join the many kids sitting with their families on Sundays.

We are adhering to all Massachusetts state protocols for worship services found here.

Regarding Masks:

We've decided to keep indoors masks in place for the time being for a variety of reasons. While we want to just follow the CDC guidance, we know that these changes have come quickly and that many in our church body might not be quite ready to take the masks off. We've decided that it would be more unifying for our church to keep the masks in place for a little longer. While many of us are very excited about removing the masks this seems like the most wise decision at the moment. We hope that we can make masks fully optional indoors as well after our July 11th outdoor gathering.

While we are legally free to remove the masks, I'm reminded of the way that Jesus did not take advantage of his "rights" and advantages as God, but instead he laid down his life so that we might benefit (Phil 2). I'm also reminded of how Paul laid aside many of his freedoms so that he might win some for Christ (1 Cor 9). I dislike masks as much as anyone, but I love our church family WAYYYY more than I dislike masks. And I want to do whatever we can do to bring people together in a way they feel comfortable.

What cleaning protocols do you have in place?

We are following the CDC guidance on disinfecting facilities. In particular, before each service:

  • Restrooms are cleaned.

  • Doorknobs and the surface area around the doorknobs are sanitized (this includes any entry doors, exit doors, restroom doors, faucet handles, and closet doors that are used for the service).

  • Chairs are sprayed with a cleaning agent.

  • Tables are sanitized.

In addition, the high-touch surfaces and restrooms are monitored for use and will be sanitized by gloved volunteers again as needed.
