Are you looking for practical steps to help heal the nation’s racial divide? Are you interested in understanding how we got to where we are and where we need to go from here?
Christianity and Anti-Racism: A Summer Discussion Series meets on Zoom Thursday evenings from 7:30 PM - 8:30 PM. We will read, watch, and discuss a selection of books, articles, videos, and speeches about race, anti-racism, and the Christian faith as we seek common ground with people of color in and beyond the CoaH network. There are just two required books: White Awake and Divided by Faith. The reading commitment will be, at most, 7–8 pages/day. Check out the course outline and reading schedule here. Please bring your thoughts, questions, and friends as we explore practical, gospel-centered ways to bring racial healing to our communities.
This class is taught by Keidrick and Holly Roy. Keidrick and Holly are community group leaders at the church and will serve as excellent guides through this topic. Keidrick is a graduate of and former instructor at the US Air Force Academy. He is currently a Ph.D. candidate at Harvard university working at the intersection of American literature, intellectual history, and political philosophy.
